This session explores the links between disability and development and the role of international cooperation in promoting approaches to the inclusion of persons with disabilities. It is particularly addressed to development practitioners belonging to international agencies and EU delegations.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Understand the concept of “mainstreaming”
• Contextualise the CRPD as a development instrument
• Used key concepts of the CRPD to advance proposals and initiatives for disability-inclusive development
