Nearly 100 people shared knowledge and good practices around the most relevant approaches on the generation and disaggregation of data and indicators for the inclusion of people with disabilities during the Bridging the gap’s training workshop.

On the occasion of the 11th Conference of the States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (COSP11), held at the United Nations (UN) headquarters in New York from the 12th to the 14th of June.

Bridging the Gap is going to be at the core of the 11th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (COSP11 CRPD), which will take place at the UN Headquarters in New York.

Ana Peláez Narváez, an internationally renowned blind woman and current member of the Steering Committee of our European Project Bridging the Gap II, is nominated by Spain to serve on the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW Committee).

In the framework of Bridging the Gap II (BtG-II) Knowledge Management Strategy (Third Pillar: Learning Spaces to LEARN and TRAIN), last May 15th the workshop titled “Social protection of persons with disabilities in development cooperation” took place in Vienna.

In September, the director of Bridging the Gap project, Federico Martire, will visit a total of five countries (Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Sudan, Ecuador, Paraguay) to establish a first contact with the local partners.
